This is the 10th anniversary of the worldwide event which is being celebrated in over 250 locations. The Peace One Day project<br> inspired and documented the creation of the Day and has since been<br> committed to informing the global community of its existence, with<br> a<br> view to manifesting an annual moment of global unity, as Peace Day<br> is<br> envisioned to become. As part of this effort, this year, with your<br> support, we hope to instigate Peace Day activities in all 191<br> member<br> states of the United Nations in accordance with the resolution.</p> <p> It is for this reason that I am writing to you today to ask for<br> your<br> help. Thus far, we are delighted to have instigated activities in<br> observance of Peace Day on 21 September 2006 in over 170 countries,<br> but we do not as yet have a commitment from within the countries<br> below.</p> <p> I would like to ask if you would consider making a commitment,<br> however<br> large or small, to observe Peace Day 2006, or passing this message<br> on<br> to someone who will. An observance of the Day can take many forms.<br> Previous years have seen commitments from every sector of society<br> from<br> governments to community groups to individuals.
